About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, sincere and detail-oriented YouTube Channel Assistant to support the daily operations, uploads, scheduling, content coordination and growth activities of our devotional/spiritual YouTube channels. The role involves working with devotional songs, chanting, mantras, bhajans, stotras, Tamil spiritual content, Hindu devotional themes and related audio/video assets.

Key Responsibilities

• YouTube Upload & Channel Management: Upload devotional songs, chants, mantras, stotras, albums, Shorts and long-form videos; add titles, descriptions, tags, hashtags, category, language, playlists, end screens and cards; schedule uploads as per the content calendar.

• Content Preparation: Coordinate with audio, video, design and editing teams; check audio/video quality before upload; verify song names, deity names, artist names, lyrics, album names and metadata.

• Thumbnail & Creative Coordination: Coordinate with designers for thumbnails and cover images; suggest devotional thumbnail ideas based on deity, mood, festival and song type; ensure thumbnails are clean, spiritual and readable.

• Shorts & Reels Support: Identify short devotional clips from long videos; help create Shorts ideas from mantras, powerful lines, festival greetings, quotes and devotional highlights.

• Channel Growth & SEO: Research devotional keywords and trending search terms; improve titles, descriptions, tags and playlists; track views, watch time, subscribers and top-performing videos.

• Community & Engagement: Monitor comments, highlight audience feedback, reply using approved templates and escalate copyright, complaint or sensitive comments to the manager.

• Festival Planning: Maintain a monthly devotional content calendar around Hindu festivals, pradosham, pournami, amavasai, Ekadashi, Sashti, Fridays, Saturdays and major deity days.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of YouTube Studio and YouTube upload settings.

• Good understanding of Hindu devotional content, mantras, bhajans, stotras and festivals.

• Ability to read and type Tamil and English. Sanskrit pronunciation awareness is an added advantage.

• Good attention to detail in names, spellings, metadata, upload settings and playlist placement.

• Comfortable using Google Drive, Google Sheets, Excel and basic design tools such as Canva.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing a YouTube channel, music channel, devotional page or social media account.

• Basic video editing knowledge using Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut or similar tools.

• Ability to write simple devotional captions in Tamil and English.

• Understanding of copyright, music rights, YouTube Content ID and digital distribution is a strong plus.

Daily Work

• Check the upload schedule and collect final video/audio/thumbnail files.

• Upload, schedule and verify videos in YouTube Studio.

• Add title, description, tags, playlist, end screen, cards and Shorts details.

• Monitor comments and audience requests.

• Update the content calendar, upload tracker and daily performance sheet.

• Coordinate pending creatives with design, editing and audio teams.
