Job Summary :

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic News Reporter / News Anchor to join our digital media team. The candidate will be responsible for researching, reporting, and presenting news stories related to current affairs, social issues, and trending topics across our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Reporting & News Gathering

• Research and collect information on current events, social issues, and trending topics.

• Cover local and state events in Odisha.

• Verify facts and ensure accurate and credible reporting before publishing.

2. Script Writing & Content Creation

• Write and edit news scripts, articles, and reports for digital platforms.

• Prepare content for video news segments, interviews, and discussions.

• Ensure stories are clear, engaging, and suitable for the target audience.

3. News Presentation

• Present news segments or anchor videos on camera.

• Deliver news confidently and professionally to engage viewers online.

• Maintain good voice modulation and on-screen presence.

4. Interviews & Field Reporting

• Conduct interviews with experts, officials, and the public.

• Cover events, press conferences, and breaking news.

• Collect photos, videos, and quotes for news stories.

5. Collaboration with Production Team

• Work with editors, video producers, and social media teams.

• Ensure the final content is accurate, visually engaging, and ready for broadcast.

  Required Skills :

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong news writing and storytelling ability.

  • Good command of Odia and English (Hindi is a plus).

  • Confidence in camera presence and public speaking.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

    Qualifications :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.

    • Prior experience in news reporting, anchoring, or digital media is preferred.

      Preferred Qualities :

      • Passion for journalism and news reporting.

      • Strong research and analytical skills.

      • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple assignments.

• It is a Full Time Content Writer job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
