We’re seeking a talented and passionate Reels Scriptwriter / Director with 1+ years of experience to create compelling, creatively driven short-form video content for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. You’ll craft engaging story narratives and present stories in a way that captivates and connects with the audience. Key Responsibilities:
Scriptwriting & Content Creation: Write engaging, platform-optimized scripts specifically for Instagram Reels and other short-form video formats.
Collaborative Development: Collaborate with the creative, social media, and marketing teams to turn briefs into compelling, scroll-stopping narratives.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all scripts align with the brand voice, visual style, and messaging strategy.
Trend Research & Analysis: Conduct trend research and regularly monitor Instagram to identify viral formats, hooks, and audio styles.
Scriptwriting Excellence: Write scripts tailored for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts that balance creativity with brand guidelines and marketing goals.
Storytelling Optimization: Optimize scripts for storytelling within 15–60 seconds, with strong hooks and clear calls to action.
Platform Knowledge & Performance: Stay updated on Instagram algorithm changes, content performance metrics, and Reels best practices.
Skills:
Proficiency in scriptwriting software/tools such as Final Draft, Celtx, or Google Docs.
Strong understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, and platform-specific technical specifications for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Exceptional creative writing and storytelling skills tailored specifically for short-form video content on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1+ years of experience in scriptwriting, content creation, or video production, especially for short-form digital platforms.
Proven track record of writing and/or directing engaging short-form video content (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and content algorithms.
