We are seeking a talented and dynamic Sub Editor to join our editorial team for our B2B magazine. The Sub Editor will play a key role in researching, writing, and editing content for our magazine, focusing on industry trends, analysis, and insights relevant to our B2B audience.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation: Research, write, and edit engaging and informative articles, features, and reports for the B2B magazine, covering a wide range of topics including industry trends, market analysis, company profiles, and product reviews.
Fact-Checking and Verification: Ensure accuracy, credibility, and reliability of content by conducting thorough fact-checking, verifying sources, and adhering to journalistic standards and guidelines.
Interviewing Sources: Conduct interviews with industry experts, thought leaders, and business professionals to gather insights, quotes, and perspectives for articles and features.
Content Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with editorial team members to plan, develop, and execute content strategies and editorial calendars that align with the magazine's objectives and target audience.
Copy Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for clarity, coherence, grammar, punctuation, and style consistency, ensuring that all content meets editorial standards and guidelines before publication.
Staying Informed: Stay abreast of industry news, developments, and trends through research, monitoring, and networking, and integrate relevant insights and analysis into editorial content.
Meeting Deadlines: Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively, and meet deadlines consistently to ensure timely delivery of content for publication.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with publishing platforms (print/digital), content management systems (CMS), and basic graphic design principles.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external sources.
