Role Objective

To craft clear, compelling, SEO-optimized, and newsworthy content that resonates with target audiences, drives engagement, supports lead generation, and upholds journalistic integrity. This role blends digital content writing with professional news writing, requiring strong storytelling, editorial judgment, and an understanding of media standards and audience psychology.


Core Responsibilities & Deliverables

1. Content Strategy & Client Understanding

  • Develop a deep understanding of client products, services, and industry landscape.

  • Collaborate with client servicing and account teams to gather insights.

  • Conduct research and interviews to extract meaningful narratives.

  • Create and validate detailed buyer personas aligned with client objectives.


2. Content Creation Across Channels

  • Write high-quality, original content for:

    • Websites and landing pages

    • Blogs and long-form articles

    • Social media posts (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)

    • Emailers and newsletters

    • Ad copies and campaign messaging

    • Product and service descriptions

  • Ensure SEO best practices including keyword optimization, meta tags, and readability.

  • Adapt tone, voice, and messaging based on brand and audience.


3. Social Media & Blog Content Development

  • Create engaging, trend-driven social media content aligned with brand voice.

  • Develop blog strategies to improve organic traffic and thought leadership.

  • Write compelling captions, hooks, and storytelling-driven posts.

  • Stay updated with platform trends, formats, and algorithm changes.


4. News Writing & Press Content Development

  • Write accurate, engaging, and timely news articles based on current trends, client updates, and industry developments.

  • Draft professional press releases aligned with global media standards.

  • Conduct interviews and convert insights into news-style stories, features, and reports.

  • Write breaking news, feature stories, opinion pieces, and industry analysis with a journalistic approach.

  • Ensure all content adheres to AP Style guidelines and editorial standards.

  • Maintain factual accuracy, balanced reporting, and credible sourcing.


5. AI-Assisted & Data-Driven Writing

  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for research, ideation, and content acceleration.

  • Combine storytelling with SEO insights, analytics, and audience behavior data.

  • Optimize content based on performance metrics and trends.


6. Proofreading & Editorial Quality

  • Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, tone, and consistency.

  • Ensure zero-error, high-quality deliverables.

  • Fact-check all news and content pieces to ensure credibility.


7. Collaboration & Execution

  • Work closely with marketing, SEO, design, and PR teams.

  • Present content drafts and ideas to internal stakeholders and clients.
