College Jaankaar is seeking a highly analytical and academically rigorous MBA Finance graduate to join our team as a Research Consultant. In this role, you will serve as a primary academic mentor, guiding MBA students through the end-to-end process of developing, structuring, and finalizing their mandatory Capstone Projects and Research Papers.
You will not be writing the papers for the students; rather, you will be providing expert-level advisory services to ensure their submissions are structurally sound, analytically robust, and strictly adhere to institutional guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Topic Selection & Scope: Assist MBA Finance students in identifying clear, relevant, and highly focused research topics based purely on secondary data (e.g., financial market trends, investment banking strategies, or corporate finance).
Structural Guidance: Ensure all student projects strictly adhere to the standard 5-chapter academic framework:
Introduction (Background, Objectives, Scope)
Literature Review
Research Methodology
Data Analysis & Interpretation
Findings, Suggestions, and Conclusion
Research & Data Mentorship: Train students on how to effectively extract and utilize secondary data from financial reports, journals, and databases like Google Scholar.
Analytical Support: Review and guide students through complex data analysis, ensuring they correctly apply statistical tools (e.g., Percentage Analysis, Chi-Square distribution) and properly format their findings into professional tables and charts.
Compliance & Formatting: Conduct thorough reviews of student drafts to ensure they meet all university requirements, including the minimum 30-page length, correct academic formatting, and proper citation of sources.
AI Tool Ethics: Guide students on the ethical and approved use of AI tools (like ChatGPT) strictly for writing support and structuring, ensuring the final analysis remains their own original work.
Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance from a recognized university.
Proven experience in academic writing, specifically with extensive, secondary-data-driven research projects or dissertations.
Strong command of financial analysis, business statistics, and interpretation of financial statements.
Exceptional editing, proofreading, and formatting skills, with a keen eye for academic layouts (indexes, abstracts, bibliographies).
High ethical standards and a commitment to fostering genuine student learning and academic integrity.
Excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex research methodologies into digestible guidance for students.
