Job Summary
The Cashier Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cashier team, ensuring accurate cash handling, efficient billing, excellent customer service, and compliance with company policies. The role includes supervising cashier staff, resolving customer payment issues, reconciling cash transactions, and supporting the restaurant's operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of all cashiers.
Ensure accurate billing and payment processing using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
Verify cash floats, perform cash counts, and reconcile daily cash, card, and digital payment transactions.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, cash shortages, and payment-related issues.
Prepare daily sales reports and submit cash deposits as per company procedures.
Ensure all cashier stations are operational and adequately supplied.
Train, coach, and evaluate cashier staff to maintain high performance and service standards.
Schedule cashier shifts to ensure adequate coverage during business hours.
Handle customer complaints related to billing and payments professionally.
Monitor compliance with company policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.
Coordinate with restaurant management, finance, and operations teams on cash-related matters.
