Key Responsibilities
Transaction Processing: Scan items, verify prices, weigh produce, and process payments via cash, debit, credit, or mobile wallets.
Cash Handling: Calculate and return accurate change, issue receipts, and balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
Customer Service: Welcome customers, answer product-related questions, and resolve complaints or process returns and exchanges.
Store Upkeep: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary supplies like bags and receipt paper.
Security & Compliance: Verify customer identification for age-restricted items (e.g., alcohol, tobacco) and follow safety protocols to prevent theft and fraud.
