JOB DESCRIPTION – RESTAURANT CASHIER

Position: Restaurant Cashier
Department: Finance / Front Office
Location: Farmhouse Group of Hotels and Restaurants
Reporting To: Restaurant Manager / Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash, card, UPI, and other payment transactions.

• Prepare and process customer bills accurately.

• Verify bills, discounts, complimentary items, and payment details.

• Maintain proper cash records and daily cash reconciliation.

• Handle POS/Petpooja billing system and ensure accurate entries.

• Coordinate with service staff, managers, and accounts team regarding billing issues.

• Ensure all sales are properly recorded and reported.

• Maintain cash drawer and ensure proper cash handover at the end of the shift.

• Prepare daily sales and payment summaries as required.

• Follow company procedures for cash handling and billing.

• Report any billing discrepancies or payment issues to the concerned manager.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in financial transactions.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 1–3 years as a cashier, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment.

• Experience with POS/Petpooja or similar restaurant billing software preferred.

• Basic knowledge of cash handling, billing, and reconciliation.

• Good numerical and communication skills.

• Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel will be an advantage.

• Qualification: HSC / Graduate; hospitality or commerce background preferred.
