Cashier

Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing:

  Accurately and efficiently handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions using cash registers or POS systems. 

• Customer Service:

  Greeting customers, providing assistance, answering questions, and resolving any issues or complaints. 

• Cash Handling:

  Making change, balancing cash drawers, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. 

• Maintaining Checkout Area:

  Keeping the checkout area clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies. 

• Assisting with Other Tasks:

  Potentially helping with stocking shelves, pricing items, or other duties as needed. 

Skills Required:

• Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers professionally and resolve issues. 

• Math Skills: Basic math skills for handling transactions, making change, and calculating totals. 

• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing transactions, handling cash, and maintaining records.
