Job Description

1. Processing Transactions

Scan and register items for purchase.
Receive payments by cash, credit/debit card, mobile payment, or vouchers.
Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and change accurately.

2. Customer Service

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer customer questions about products, prices, and store policies.
Resolve customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate staff member.

3. Cash Handling

Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Maintain accurate cash balances.
Report discrepancies and follow cash-control procedures.

4. Maintaining Checkout Area

Keep the checkout counter clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Ensure shopping bags, receipt paper, and other materials are available.

5. Sales Support

Promote store products, loyalty programs, and special offers.
Assist customers with locating products when needed.

6. Record Keeping

Maintain transaction records and prepare daily sales reports.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions.

7. Security and Compliance

Verify customer age when selling restricted products.
Detect counterfeit money or fraudulent transactions.
Follow safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures.
