Transaction Processing:

​Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and cash register to process sales transactions (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and other digital payments).

​Scan goods, ensure pricing accuracy, and honor coupons or redeem stamps.

​Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

​Process returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately according to company policy.

​Cash Handling & Accuracy:

​Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure all amounts are correct (balancing the till).

​Maintain accurate transaction records and report any discrepancies to management immediately.

​Follow all security and anti-theft procedures.

​Customer Service:

​Greet customers warmly upon entry or approach to the checkout area.

​Answer customer questions about products, services, store policies, or promotions.

​Resolve customer complaints or guide them to a manager for assistance, maintaining a patient and professional demeanor.

​Bag, box, or wrap purchases carefully as requested.
