Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our grocery store team. The ideal candidate will handle transactions efficiently, provide excellent customer service, and ensure a smooth checkout experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them during checkout
Scan items accurately and process purchases using POS systems
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments securely
Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as per store policy
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout counter
Resolve customer queries or escalate issues when necessary
Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
Assist with bagging groceries and ensuring customer satisfaction
Follow store policies on pricing, discounts, and promotions

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Basic math and computer skills
Prior cashier or retail experience is an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
Customer-oriented attitude and attention to detail
