Profile – Modular Factory Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Modular Furniture Factory Supervisor to oversee daily production operations in our furniture manufacturing unit. The candidate will ensure smooth workflow, maintain quality standards, manage workers, and ensure timely completion of production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Floor Management
Execute daily production plans and ensure adherence to delivery timelines.
Allocate tasks to machine operators, carpenters, and floor helpers based on the production schedule.
Monitor the operation of key woodworking machinery, including CNC Routers, Panel Saws, Edge Banders, and Multi-boring machines.
Read and interpret production drawings, AutoCAD layouts, and cut-lists to guide the production team.
Quality Control
Inspect work-in-progress and finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards and exact dimensional tolerances.
Ensure flawless application of laminates, edge banding, and proper routing/drilling for hardware fittings.
Identify and troubleshoot defects immediately to minimize rework and material wastage.
Material & Inventory Management
Calculate and optimize raw material usage (boards, laminates, adhesives, hardware) to reduce scrap and wastage.
Coordinate with the store/inventory department to ensure a seamless supply of raw materials to the production floor.
Maintain accurate records of material consumption and daily production output.
Team Management & Safety
Supervise, train, and motivate factory floor staff to maximize productivity.
Monitor attendance, resolve floor-level conflicts, and foster a collaborative working environment.
Enforce strict health and safety protocols on the factory floor, ensuring all workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) and operate machinery safely.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a modular furniture manufacturing unit.
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modular furniture manufacturing processes (cutting, edge banding, boring, routing, and packaging).
Machine Familiarity: Hands-on knowledge of operating and troubleshooting standard modular furniture machinery (CNC, Edge Banders, etc.).
Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and understand 2D/3D technical drawings, cut-lists, and hardware schedules.
Language: Fluency in [Local Language/Hindi] to communicate effectively with factory workers; basic English proficiency for reporting.
Client: Have Good Knowledge for site measurement and visit client site whenever require
