Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up and operate machinery including saws, routers, drill presses, lathes, shapers, and sanders to produce wooden parts.
Production Setup: Review blueprints, work orders, or drawings to determine material requirements and machine settings.
Quality Control: Examine finished workpieces for defects, smoothness, dimensions, and conformity to specifications using calipers, rules, or gauges.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning, oiling, and replacing worn blades or drill bits.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment (masks, goggles) to manage dust and noise.
Material Prep: Inspect, measure, and mark raw woodstock for cutting and processing.
