A carpenter helper assists skilled carpenters by preparing job sites, handling materials and tools, performing basic carpentry tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. They support carpenters in cutting, measuring, holding materials, installing fixtures, and other manual labor duties as needed.Typical Responsibilities

Assist in construction, installation, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures.
Prepare and clean job sites, gather and transport materials and tools.
Cut, measure, and shape wood and other materials under supervision.
Hold or secure materials in place during assembly or fastening.
Help build scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
Use hand and power tools safely.
Load and unload materials, dispose of debris, and maintain clean work areas.
Support setup tasks like installing doors, windows, cabinets, and trim.
Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear.
Perform manual labor such as lifting, carrying, and digging as required.
Continuously learn carpentry techniques from lead carpenters.
