Hair Stylist – Job Description

Role Overview

The Hair Stylist is responsible for providing high-quality hair services, ensuring excellent client experience, and maintaining professionalism while upholding salon standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hair Services

• Perform haircuts for men/women/kids based on requirement.

• Provide hair coloring, root touch-up, global color, highlights, balayage, etc.

• Offer hair spa, treatments, hair wash, blow-dry, straightening, smoothing, keratin, and styling services.

• Suggest suitable styles and treatments based on client face shape, hair type, and lifestyle.

2. Client Consultation & Service

• Understand client needs and give professional recommendations.

• Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional approach.

• Ensure client satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

3. Hygiene & Safety

• Maintain cleanliness of tools, workstation, and salon hygiene standards.

• Sterilize equipment regularly and follow all safety protocols.

4. Product Knowledge & Sales Support

• Explain products and treatments to clients.

• Promote retail products and upsell hair services when appropriate.

• Stay updated on new trends, techniques, and brands.

5. Coordination & Teamwork

• Work closely with the salon team to ensure smooth operations.

• Assist during rush hours and coordinate with the receptionist/manager for scheduling.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Hair Stylist.

• Strong technical skill in cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.

• Good communication and client-handling skills.

• Professional, well-groomed, and punctual.

• Training/certification in hairdressing is a plus.

Optional Additions
