Job Description – Supervisor (Civil)

Reporting To: Site Engineer / Manager – Civil

Role Overview:

The Supervisor – Civil will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision of civil works including structural, masonry, plastering, finishing, and other related activities. The role requires ensuring that work is executed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and within the planned timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all civil construction activities at the site.

• Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, and instructions.

• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and labor teams for smooth site operations.

• Maintain daily progress reports, manpower deployment, and material usage records.

• Check levels, alignments, and dimensions during ongoing construction.

• Ensure proper curing, shuttering, concreting, and finishing quality.

• Monitor and control wastage of materials.

• Ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards at site.

• Assist in checking contractor bills and quantities.

• Report site issues, progress, and deviations to the Site Engineer / Project Manager.
  

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of civil construction methods and finishing works.

• Ability to read and understand basic drawings and measurements.

• Strong site supervision and labor management skills.

• Good communication and coordination abilities.

• Proactive, disciplined, and safety-conscious approach to work.
  

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / ITI in Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).

• 2-3 years of experience in  township projects, preferably with reputed builders or contractors.

• Capable of handling multiple teams at site.

• Committed to maintaining quality and timely delivery.
