JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE SENIOR PURCHASE EXECUTIVE ROLE:
1. Procurement & Purchasing
Handle end-to-end procurement of equipment, vehicle spare parts (LCV/HCV), plant machinery spares, tools, consumables, and safety items.
Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, and finalize vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Raise purchase orders (POs) in ERP and ensure compliance with company policies.
Maintain cost-effective purchasing while ensuring product quality and service reliability.
2. Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for waste management equipment, scrap buyers, machine spares, and consumables.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, credit terms, and annual rate contracts (ARCs).
Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
3. Material Follow-Up & Coordination
Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery of material.
Coordinate with stores, maintenance, operations, and fleet teams for material requirement plans (MRP).
Resolve delivery issues, shortages, and quality-related complaints.
4. Inventory Control
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores team to avoid stock-outs.
Support inventory audits and maintain minimum stock levels for critical spares.
Work closely with storekeepers for GRN, indents, and documentation.
5. Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, vendor agreements, delivery challans, and invoices.
Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs, ISO standards, and audit requirements.
Prepare weekly/monthly purchase MIS reports.
6. Cost Control & Budgeting
Analyse procurement spend and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Provide input for annual budgeting of procurement materials.
Implement best procurement practices to optimize operational cost.
