Purchase Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a Purchase Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to handle procurement operations for our Sweet Making Machine division. The candidate must have strong technical knowledge, supplier management skills, and an understanding of mechanical components related to food processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable vendors and suppliers.

• Understand mechanical drawings and specifications to source correct parts.

• Procurement of raw materials, mechanical parts, fabrication items, and OEM components.

• Maintain optimum inventory levels to meet production requirements.

• Review purchase requisitions and ensure timely order placements.

• Coordinate with the production, store, design, and service departments for material requirements.

• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on pending orders.

• Conduct supplier audits and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports.

• Work closely with accounts to ensure smooth billing and payment process.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in machinery or manufacturing industry (preferably food processing equipment)

• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of mechanical parts, machine drawings, BOMs

• Skills: Negotiation, vendor development, ERP software (preferred), strong communication

• Language: Hindi & Gujarati (preferred), English

Operations Head / Director

• It is a Full Time Back Office / Data Entry job for candidates with 3 - 6 years of experience.
