Job Summary
The Purchase Manager for an event-based audio-visual services company is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing all equipment, consumables, and services needed for seamless execution of events. This includes AV equipment, staging, lighting, sound systems, furniture, and vendor services. The role requires strategic procurement, vendor negotiation, cost control, and timely availability of resources to support events of varying scale.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, source, and procure AV equipment, event furniture, lighting, sound systems, and other event-related supplies.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for equipment rental, purchase, and service contracts.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of AV equipment, props, and consumables.
Coordinate with event managers and production teams to understand requirements and ensure timely procurement.
Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality or event standards.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with trusted vendors and service providers.
Monitor market trends and new AV technologies to optimize procurement.
Track delivery schedules and ensure timely availability for events.
Maintain procurement records, invoices, and vendor contracts accurately.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in procurement or purchase management, preferably in the events, AV, or entertainment industry.
Required Skills

Knowledge of AV equipment, event production requirements, and rental services.
Budgeting and cost optimization abilities.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and inventory management tools.
