 Product & Component Knowledge – Understanding electrical/mechanical parts, circuit diagrams, and BOMs.

 Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation – Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with vendors for cost-effective

procurement.

 Cost Analysis & Budgeting – Conducting price comparisons, cost-benefit analysis, and tracking market trends.

 Quality Assurance – Inspecting materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO, BIS, etc.).

 Inventory & Supply Chain Management – Managing stock levels, MRP planning, and coordinating logistics.

 ERP & Procurement Software – Using SAP, Tally, Zoho, or other tools for purchase tracking and inventory

management.

 Import/Export Regulations – Handling customs procedures, duties, and supplier documentation for

international sourcing.

 Vendor Relationship Management – Building long-term supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality.

 Alternative Sourcing – Quickly finding substitutes for unavailable or costly components.

 Risk Management – Identifying supply chain risks and developing contingency plans.

 Data Analysis & Reporting – Using Excel, dashboards, and reports for tracking purchases and costs.

 Legal & Compliance Knowledge – Understanding contracts, warranties, and supplier agreements.
