Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Purchase Executive with strong knowledge of CPWD works, specifications, and construction materials. The candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement function, vendor management, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of materials for CPWD building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage end-to-end procurement for CPWD projects.
Ensure procurement as per CPWD specifications, DSR (Delhi Schedule of Rates), and technical standards.
Finalize vendors and negotiate rates for construction materials (cement, steel, electrical, plumbing, finishing items, etc.).
Prepare comparative statements and cost analysis.
Coordinate with project, planning, and tender teams for BOQ-based procurement.
Monitor material delivery schedules and ensure site requirements are met.
Manage rate contracts and long-term supplier agreements.
Handle purchase budgets and cost control measures.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and project timelines.
Develop and maintain a strong vendor database.
Coordinate with accounts for billing, payment follow-ups, and reconciliation.
Implement procurement policies and internal controls.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain / related field.
Minimum [5- 8] years of experience in construction procurement, preferably in CPWD projects.
Strong knowledge of CPWD specifications, DSR, and government project requirements.
Deep understanding of construction materials and market rates.
Experience in handling large-scale building projects.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.

Strong analytical and cost-control mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
