Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement:
Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Vendor Management:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
Monitoring stock levels, forecasting future needs, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure adequate supply of materials.
Quality Control:
Ensuring that all purchased items meet the company's quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Cost Management:
Analyzing costs, identifying areas for savings, and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers to optimize procurement spending.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
Collaboration:
Working with various departments, such as production, sales, and finance, to understand their procurement needs and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of inventory management principles and procurement processes.
Familiarity with relevant software and systems, such as ERP systems.
Understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
