Job Description – Sales & Purchase Executive

Position: Sales & Purchase Executive

Department: Sales & Procurement

Experience: 1–4 years preferred

Location: Purnanagar, Chikhali near shahunagar

Job Responsibilities

- Handle sales and purchase activities from inquiry to order completion.

- Prepare and send quotations, purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices.

- Coordinate with customers and suppliers regarding price, availability, delivery, and payment terms.

- Follow up with customers for new inquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments.

- Source materials from suitable suppliers and negotiate for the best possible price and delivery time.

- Maintain proper records of sales, purchases, quotations, POs, invoices, and deliveries.

- Visit customer sites for material requirements, measurements, technical discussions, and follow-ups.

- Understand basic mechanical and electrical products, components, tools, equipment, and industrial materials.

- Read and understand basic technical drawings, specifications, part numbers, and product datasheets.

- Coordinate with suppliers for technical clarification and product selection.

- Check material received against PO, quotation, and invoice.

- Coordinate with the accounts team for GST invoices, billing, and payment follow-ups.

- Ensure timely delivery of material to customers and coordinate with transport/courier services.

- Take responsibility for assigned work and complete tasks on time without continuous supervision.

- Maintain good communication and professional relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal team members.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engineering products.

- Knowledge of sales, purchase, invoicing, and vendor coordination.

- Good communication and negotiation skills.

- Basic knowledge of GST invoices and commercial documentation.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email, and internet-based product searching.

- Ability to visit customer sites and understand their requirements.

- Ability to identify products based on part numbers, specifications, drawings, and images.

- Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn.

- Ability to independently handle day-to-day work and follow up until completion.

Key Requirement

The candidate should be responsible and result-oriented, with the ability to manage sales, purchases, invoicing, supplier coordination, and customer site visits. A person having both technical knowledge and commercial understanding will be preferred.

Preferred Qualification

Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, but candidates with relevant industrial sales/purchase experience may also be considered.

• It is a Full Time Back Office / Data Entry job for candidates with 6 months - 4 years of experience.
