Job Description

Junior Purchase Engineer – Oil & Gas is responsible for supporting procurement and purchasing activities related to equipment, materials, and services used in oil & gas projects and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase mechanical, electrical, piping, and instrumentation materials.
Prepare and process purchase orders and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for pricing, delivery, and technical compliance.
Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.
Follow up on deliveries and maintain procurement records.
Coordinate with project, store, and engineering teams.
Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
Maintain inventory and procurement documentation.

Required Skills

Knowledge of procurement procedures.
Understanding of oil & gas materials and equipment.
Vendor management and negotiation skills.
MS Excel, ERP, or SAP knowledge.
Good communication and coordination abilities.

Qualification

B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
0–2 years of experience in procurement or purchase.
