Purchase Executive

Responsibilities:

1. Turmeric Procurement:

• Attend turmeric auctions in Sangli, Nanded (Marathwada), and Hingoli to procure highquality turmeric lots at competitive prices.

• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, traders, and auctioneers to ensure a reliable supply chain.

2. Quality Inspection:

• Inspect turmeric lots at auctions, sellers’ godowns, warehouses, and cold storages for quality, color, aroma, and moisture content.

• Collect samples from sellers and send them to Head Office (H.O.) for quality verification.

• Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure all lots meet company quality standards.

3. Negotiation and Pricing:

• Negotiate prices with sellers based on market trends, quality, and procurement budgets.

• Keep track of market fluctuations and adjust purchase strategies accordingly.

4. Data & Cost Sheet Management:

• Maintain cost sheets and Excel data of procured lots.

• Perform data entry in the company’s system and use mobile application for cost sheet preparation, and upload photos & videos of lots to assess quality.

• Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of all procurement activities.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in procurement, preferably in spices or agricultural commodities. Experience in turmeric procurement will be a plus.

• Education: Minimum 12th standard pass.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Knowledge of turmeric quality standards and grading.

• Ability to travel frequently to Nanded, Hingoli, and within Maharashtra.

• It is a Full Time Back Office / Data Entry job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
