Job Summary
The Purchase Executive will be responsible for procurement of raw materials, laboratory consumables, equipment, packaging materials, and other operational supplies required for the life science business. The role ensures timely purchasing, vendor management, cost control, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
Purchase raw materials, laboratory chemicals, consumables, packaging materials, and equipment.
Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors.
Maintain vendor database and vendor performance records.
Coordinate with vendors for quotations, negotiations, and deliveries.
Price Negotiation
Compare quotations and negotiate for best pricing and payment terms.
Maintain cost efficiency while ensuring quality standards.
Purchase Documentation
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (PO).
Maintain records of quotations, invoices, delivery challans, and purchase reports.
Inventory Coordination
Coordinate with stores, production, and QC departments for stock requirements.
Monitor minimum stock levels to prevent shortages.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all purchased materials meet quality standards and specifications.
Coordinate with QC for COA (Certificate of Analysis) verification.
Follow company ISO / regulatory procurement guidelines.
Logistics Coordination
Track order status and delivery timelines.
Resolve issues related to delayed or incorrect supplies.
Reporting
Prepare monthly purchase reports.
Maintain purchase tracking sheets and cost analysis reports.
Required Skills

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science / Pharmacy / Biotechnology / Commerce / Supply Chain.
Experience
2–5 years experience in purchase/procurement preferably in Life Science / Pharma / Medical industry.
