Job Title: Purchase Executive – Interiors & Fit-Outs
Job Summary
The Purchase Executive (Interiors) is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring high-quality interior materials, furniture, fixtures, hardware, and finishes for residential, commercial, or corporate turnkey interior projects. This role requires close coordination with designers, site project managers, and suppliers to ensure all items meet exact specifications, budget constraints, and project delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Material Sourcing & Procurement:
Source materials based on Bills of Quantities (BOQs), architectural drawings, and designer specifications (e.g., plywood, laminates, veneer, hardware, lighting, glass, sanitaryware, flooring, and soft furnishings).
Conduct market surveys to stay updated on new materials, trends, and cost-effective alternatives.
Vendor Management & Negotiation:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors, manufacturers, and sub-contractors.
Float Request for Quotations (RFQs), analyze quotes, and prepare cost-comparison statements.
Lead commercial negotiations regarding pricing, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules.
Order Processing & Site Coordination:
Generate, review, and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately.
Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to sequence material deliveries and eliminate site delays.
Track shipments, verify physical samples, and oversee initial quality checks upon arrival at the project site or warehouse.
Cost & Billing Management:
Monitor procurement spending against project budgets to optimize costs.
Verify vendor invoices, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and delivery challans, coordinating with the finance team for timely bill processing and payment execution.
Key Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of procurement experience within the Interior Fit-out, Architecture, Design, or Construction industries.
Proven track record of managing local interior market vendor networks.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of interior materials, brand specifications, finish types, and hardware standards.
BOQ & Drawing Analysis: Basic capability to read architectural/interior drawings and decode BOQ specs.
Negotiation Skills: Sharp commercial acumen to secure competitive terms and cost savings.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, Tally
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships between designers, vendors, and site execution teams.
