Job Summary
The Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required for the company’s HVAC operations. This includes ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and achieving cost-efficiency in all purchases.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for AC equipment, parts (compressors, refrigerants, ducts, copper pipes, etc.), and materials.
· Obtain and analyse vendor quotations to secure competitive prices and terms.
· Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
· Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
· Ensure timely delivery of materials to support project timelines and service commitments.
· Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
· Coordinate with the engineering, project, and service teams to understand material requirements.
· Maintain inventory levels in coordination with the stores/warehouse team.
· Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
· Track and report key procurement metrics such as cost savings, delivery times, and quality issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management,
· 2–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.
· Strong negotiation and communication skills.
· Good knowledge of HVAC equipment and components is an advantage.
· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle).
· Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
