Procurement:
Identify and source spare parts for machinery like pumps, aerators, and filters.
Purchase chemicals required
for the treatment process, such as coagulants and flocculants.
Order new equipment or upgrades as needed for plant improvements.
Vendor management:
Visit vendors and suppliers to negotiate prices and manage relationships.
Coordinate with the plant's stores and maintenance teams for spare parts procurement.
Logistics and coordination:
Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of all ordered items.
Coordinate the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance staff to understand their needs and prioritize purchases.
Administrative and record-keeping:
Maintain accurate purchase records and update the procurement database.
Track purchase budgets and control costs.
Prepare monthly purchase reports for management.
Compliance:
Ensure that all purchased items meet technical and safety specifications required for a wastewater treatment plant.
Stay informed about the specific needs of the plant, including requirements for different treatment processes (STP, ETP, RO, etc.).
