The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, packaging materials, and other supplies required for chemical manufacturing operations. The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and consumables.
Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency.
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely delivery.
Maintain proper documentation of procurement records and supplier contracts.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams.
Ensure materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Track market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of chemical raw materials.
Coordinate with accounts for invoice verification and payment processing.
Work on cost reduction strategies and alternate vendor development.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in chemical procurement.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Supply Chain / Chemical Engineering (preferred).
2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in chemical or manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of chemical raw materials and vendor networks.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle, etc.).
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
