Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Purpose:

The HDPE Pipe Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining extrusion machines used in the production of HDPE pipes. The role ensures that pipes are manufactured according to quality standards, safety norms, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation & Setup

   • Operate HDPE pipe extrusion machines and related equipment.

   • Set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.) as per production requirements.

   • Load raw material (HDPE granules) into hoppers and ensure continuous feed.

2. Production Monitoring

   • Monitor pipe diameter, thickness, color, and surface finish during production.

   • Ensure production as per standard specifications and customer requirements.

   • Record daily production data and maintain shift logs.

3. Quality Control

   • Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of pipes.

   • Ensure pipes meet IS/ISO standards and company quality guidelines.

   • Report defects, rejections, or deviations to the supervisor immediately.

4. Maintenance & Safety

   • Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.

   • Report breakdowns and assist maintenance teams in repairs.

   • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and safe handling of materials.

5. Team Coordination

   • Coordinate with helpers, quality checkers, and supervisors for smooth production.

   • Assist in material handling, storage, and proper stacking of finished pipes.

   • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Skills & Competencies:

• Hands-on knowledge of extrusion machines for HDPE pipes.

• Understanding of production processes, material handling, and quality parameters.

• Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting.

• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.

• Discipline, teamwork, and safety awareness.

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum 10th Pass / ITI (Fitter/Electrician/Plastic Processing Technician preferred).

• 2–5 years of experience as an extrusion/machine operator in the plastic pipe industry.

• It is a Full Time Back Office / Data Entry job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
