We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Document Verification Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying various documents submitted by clients, customers, or employees to ensure authenticity, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Verify the authenticity and validity of documents such as identity proofs, address proofs, educational certificates, financial statements, and legal documents.
Cross-check information provided with databases or third-party verification services.
Flag inconsistencies, errors, or suspicious content and escalate to the relevant department when necessary.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of all verified documents.
Ensure compliance with data protection laws and company policies regarding sensitive information.
Coordinate with internal departments or external clients for clarification or additional documentation.
Update document verification status in internal systems and generate reports as needed.
Adhere to deadlines and productivity targets while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred depending on industry.
Prior experience in document verification, data processing, compliance, or a related administrative role is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in using office software such as MS Excel, Word, and email platforms.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Familiarity with document verification tools or software (e.g., KYC platforms, OCR systems).
Knowledge of industry-specific documentation standards (e.g., financial, legal, healthcare).
Experience working in fast-paced environments such as BPOs, banks, or verification agencies.
Office-based or remote (specify as per your company setup).
Standard working hours; may require overtime during peak periods.
Requires prolonged periods of attention to detail while working on a computer.
