Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Operator to manage and maintain accurate product and customer data within our B2C e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce operations, experience with product catalog management, and a keen eye for detail to ensure data integrity across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Data Management:
Upload, update, and maintain product listings including SKUs, descriptions, images, prices, categories, and specifications.
Ensure consistency and accuracy across product information on multiple platforms (e.g., website, marketplaces like Amazon/Flipkart).
Coordinate with content, marketing, and inventory teams to ensure product data is current and optimized.
Catalog Optimization:
Implement SEO best practices in product titles, descriptions, and metadata.
Regularly audit and clean up the catalog to remove duplicates, outdated listings, or inconsistent formatting.
Order & Inventory Data Handling:
Track and reconcile inventory levels with data from warehouse and ERP systems.
Support order data processing, returns, and refunds to ensure smooth customer experience.
Data Quality & Reporting:
Monitor and report discrepancies in data and escalate issues to relevant departments.
Generate regular reports for sales, inventory, and catalog performance using Excel or BI tools.
Platform Support:
Work within CMS, ERP, or e-commerce backend systems (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce).
Ensure timely updates during product launches, campaigns, or seasonal rollouts.
Key Requirements:
Experience: 3–5 years in a similar role within the B2C e-commerce industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning).
Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce, or similar).
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
Soft Skills:
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with bulk upload tools and API-based integrations.
Familiarity with product taxonomy and online merchandising best practices.
Knowledge of marketplace listing tools and guidelines (e.g., Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub).
