Job Summary:

The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data into computer systems and databases. The role involves handling confidential information, verifying accuracy, and ensuring data integrity while meeting productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter, update, and verify data in various systems and databases.

• Review data for errors or deficiencies and correct any incompatibilities.

• Maintain accurate records of all data entry activities.

• Retrieve data from databases or electronic files as requested.

• Ensure data security and confidentiality at all times.

• Prepare and generate reports from entered data as required.

• Coordinate with other departments to obtain or clarify data.

• Perform regular backups and maintain documentation for reference.

• Meet daily/weekly productivity and accuracy targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a data entry operator, clerk, or similar role.

• Excellent typing speed and accuracy.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and data entry software.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Good communication skills and teamwork.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of database management tools (e.g., MS Access, Google Sheets, ERP systems).

• Familiarity with data cleaning and data validation processes.
