Data Operator Job Responsibilities (Including Advanced Excel)
Review and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
Use Advanced Excel functions such as:
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
IF, IFS, SUMIF, COUNTIF
Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts
Conditional Formatting
Data Validation
Date & Time Functions
Lookup and reference functions
Create dashboards and reports using charts and Pivot Tables.
Clean, filter, sort, and organize large datasets.
Analyze data trends and generate actionable reports for management.
Reconcile data from multiple sources and identify discrepancies.
Maintain proper documentation and backup of records.
Coordinate with different departments to collect and update information.
Ensure confidentiality and security of company data.
Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Support management with ad hoc reports and data analysis requests.
Use Excel shortcuts and formulas to improve productivity and reduce manual work.
Assist in process improvement by automating repetitive tasks where possible.
Required Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Strong typing speed with high accuracy.
Knowledge of Pivot Tables, charts, formulas, and dashboards.
Basic understanding of MS Word and PowerPoint.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Time management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork.
Basic knowledge of data management and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any discipline (or equivalent experience).
Certification in Advanced Excel is an advantage.
Experience with ERP, CRM, or database software is a plus.
