Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Some post-secondary education or relevant certifications in data entry, administration, or scientific fields is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience in data entry or administrative roles is preferred.
Experience in a laboratory setting or familiarity with scientific terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.
Typing Speed:
Minimum typing speed of 25 to 30 words per minute (WPM) with high accuracy.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with data entry software.
Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or other specialized laboratory software is a plus.
Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to spot and correct errors quickly to maintain data integrity.
Communication and Teamwork:
Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Able to collaborate with researchers, lab technicians, and managers.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:
Office and laboratory-based. The role will require extended periods of sitting and using a computer for data input.
