Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Computer Operator to monitor and manage computer systems, ensure smooth operations of hardware and software, and support IT functions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with system maintenance, data entry, troubleshooting, and providing basic support to end users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor mainframe or computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment.

• Perform data entry and verify accuracy of data.

• Maintain logs of system operations, failures, and performance issues.

• Ensure all scheduled batch jobs are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate technical issues to IT staff as needed.

• Maintain data backups and execute recovery processes when necessary.

• Monitor and maintain office hardware such as printers, scanners, and fax machines.

• Assist with software installations, updates, and basic technical support.

• Ensure adherence to security and confidentiality policies when handling sensitive data.

• Generate routine reports and provide status updates to management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma/certificate in Computer Science or related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a Computer Operator or similar role.

• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and office software (MS Office, email & Tally).

• Basic understanding of computer networks and hardware.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
