Position: Business Operations Manager – Procurement & Field Operations
Location: Delhi NCR (Operations in Faridabad, Delhi, and surrounding sourcing locations)
About the Role: We are looking for a Business Operations Manager who will manage procurement, vendor coordination, and field operations related to material sourcing and delivery. The role requires working closely with traders, dealers, distributors, and companies to identify the best rates, book materials, and ensure that quality and logistics operations are executed smoothly. The candidate will also supervise field staff responsible for inspecting materials and coordinating dispatch, ensuring that materials meet required specifications and reach customers on time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Vendor Coordination • Contact companies, traders, dealers, and distributors to inquire about material availability and pricing. • Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms with suppliers. • Book materials as instructed and manage supplier relationships. 2. Operations Management • Manage the complete procurement cycle from material booking to final delivery. • Ensure smooth coordination between suppliers, field staff, and logistics teams. • Monitor operations to ensure timely execution. 3. Field Staff Supervision • Supervise field executives responsible for material inspection and documentation. • Ensure proper verification of quality, dimensions, and quantity of materials. • Assign and track tasks for field teams. 4. Quality Control • Ensure materials meet customer specifications and quality standards before dispatch. • Coordinate with field staff to verify condition and packaging of materials. 5. Logistics & Delivery Coordination • Arrange and coordinate transportation of materials. Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to cusomers. • Resolve operational issues related to loading, dispatch, and transportation. 6. Reporting & Documentation • Maintain records of Procurement, supplier communiaion, and deliveries. • Provide regular updates on procurement status, pricing trends, and operational progress.
Requirements:
• 3–7 years of experience in procurement, operations, supply chain, or material trading. • Strong negotiation and communication skills. • Ability to coordinate with vendors, transporters, and field teams. • Basic understanding of industrial materials, steel trading, or supply chain operations is preferred. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
