A Billing Executive in a manufacturing company manages the entire invoicing cycle, from generating accurate bills using sales orders/production data, verifying details with production/sales, ensuring GST compliance, tracking payments, handling customer queries, reconciling accounts, and reporting to management, all while coordinating with sales/finance to maintain cash flow and financial accuracy. Key duties involve processing invoices, managing customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, ensuring regulatory compliance (like GST), and generating financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Management: Prepare, process, and issue accurate invoices for manufactured goods based on sales orders, delivery challans, and production data.
Data Verification: Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Operations to collect and verify billing information, ensuring accuracy.
Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing errors, short shipments, or pricing issues with internal teams and clients.
Accounts & Payments: Update customer accounts, track incoming payments, send reminders, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Compliance: Ensure all invoices and processes adhere to GST, taxation laws, and company policies.
Reporting: Generate MIS reports, financial summaries, and analysis on billing trends, outstanding payments, and cash flow.
System Maintenance: Maintain billing software and customer records, ensuring data integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce.
Experience: Proven experience in billing, accounts, or a similar finance role, ideally in manufacturing.
Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, problem-solving, MS Office proficiency, and knowledge of billing/ERP software.
Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations, GST, and process automation is a plus.
