Back Office Banking Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, and payments.

• Perform accurate data entry, transaction processing, and verification of financial information.

• Reconcile accounts and identify, investigate, and resolve transaction discrepancies.

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, AML, KYC, and other applicable guidelines.

• Prepare financial reports, account statements, transaction summaries, and operational reports.

• Maintain accurate and well-organized records of transactions and supporting documentation.

• Identify process gaps and assist in implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.

• Handle queries related to transaction status, banking processes, and documentation requirements.

• Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive financial and customer information.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and transaction processes.

• Proficiency in banking software, core banking systems, MS Excel, and MS Word.

• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Previous experience in banking operations, financial services, back-office operations, or a similar role is preferred.

• Knowledge of banking regulations, AML, KYC, compliance, and risk management.

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.

• Relevant certifications in banking operations, compliance, or finance will be an added advantage.

• It is a Full Time Back Office / Data Entry job for candidates with 0 - 1 years of experience.
