We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Banking Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support day-to-day banking operations, assist customers with transactions and inquiries, and help maintain the smooth functioning of the branch or financial services team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a basic understanding of financial products, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and handle their inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments
Assist with account opening and closing procedures
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Support customers with online and mobile banking issues
Refer customers to appropriate banking staff for advanced services or products
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and responding to emails
Handle cash responsibly and reconcile cash drawer daily
Promote and cross-sell banking products and services
Help maintain branch security and compliance standards
Qualifications and Skills:
Graduation in any discipline
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good numerical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on customer service
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
