Job Title: Backend Developer – Loan Department

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Backend Developer to join our Loan Department technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support loan origination, loan processing, credit evaluation, and repayment management. You will work closely with business analysts, credit officers, and frontend developers to build secure, scalable, and high-performance financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services for loan management systems.

Build and optimize APIs for loan applications, approval workflows, disbursement, and repayment tracking.

Integrate third-party financial services (credit bureaus, payment gateways, KYC systems).

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data security standards.

Optimize database structures and queries for performance and reliability.

Implement authentication, authorization, and data encryption mechanisms.

Perform system testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements.

Maintain technical documentation for backend processes and APIs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

2+ years of experience in backend development.

Strong proficiency in one or more backend technologies (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, .NET).

Experience with RESTful API development.

Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

Understanding of financial systems or loan lifecycle processes.

Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in backend department.

Knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS).

Experience with microservices architecture.

Understanding of data security standards and financial compliance requirements.
