About the Role

EMEDIX is looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage the complete procurement operations for all franchisee stores. The ideal candidate should possess strong vendor management skills, leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of procurement processes to ensure maximum profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchase Management

●      Manage and oversee procurement activities for all Emedix franchisee stores.

●      Receive, review, and process purchase orders from franchise locations.

●      Identify and procure products from the most suitable vendors at the best possible prices.

●      Ensure timely procurement and availability of medicines, healthcare products, and other inventory items.

●      Monitor stock availability and coordinate with vendors to minimize shortages.

Vendor Management

●      Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, distributors, wholesalers, and suppliers.

●      Negotiate pricing, payment terms, schemes, and discounts to maximize company profitability.

●      Evaluate vendor performance regularly and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.

●      Ensure procurement from authorized and compliant vendors.

Team Leadership & Operations

●      Lead, train, and supervise the procurement team.

●      Establish procurement processes, SOPs, and performance standards.

●      Coordinate with franchise support, accounts, warehouse, and operations teams.

●      Resolve procurement-related issues efficiently and professionally.

Profitability & Strategic Procurement

●      Analyze market trends, pricing structures, and supplier offers.

●      Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce procurement costs.

●      Recommend strategic purchasing decisions to enhance company profitability.

●      Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and compliance.

Reporting & Documentation

●      Maintain accurate procurement records and purchase documentation.

●      Generate procurement reports, vendor analysis reports, and inventory-related reports.

●      Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Educational Qualification

●      Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

●      Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, or Supply Chain-related qualifications will be preferred.

Experience

●      Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchase, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, or Pharmaceutical Distribution.

●      Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or pharmaceutical procurement will be an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

●      Advanced computer proficiency (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email, Google Workspace, etc.).

●      Strong knowledge of ERP, billing software, inventory management software, and procurement systems.

●      Ability to prepare and analyze procurement reports and MIS.

Professional Skills

●      Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

●      Excellent communication and persuasion abilities.

●      Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

●      Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Leadership Skills

●      Proven leadership and team management capabilities.

●      Ability to motivate and guide team members.

●      Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

●      Ownership mindset and result-oriented approach.

Eligibility Criteria

●      Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license and own a motorcycle/bike for local travel and vendor visits.

●      Willingness to travel as per business requirements.

●      Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products and supply chain operations will be preferred.

●      Candidates with pharmacy industry experience will be given preference.
