Job Description – Backend Engineer (F&B Menu, Inventory & Recipe Management)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer with strong understanding of the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry, especially in areas like menu configuration, inventory control, recipe management, and POS integrations.backend services that power restaurant operations—both at the outlet and enterprise level.
Key Responsibilities
1. Menu Management (Offline + Online Channels)
Develop and maintain backend services for F&B menu configuration, including categories, items, variants, addons, combos, and pricing.
Manage offline POS menus and online ordering menus (Swiggy, Zomato, DotPe, Deliveroo, in-house ordering).
Implement F&B-specific menu logic including:
Regional pricing
2. Inventory & Stock Management (Restaurant Operations)
GRN (Goods Received Note)
Purchase orders & vendor management
Stock-in/stock-out
Wastage, spoilage, and pilferage logs
Outlet-to-outlet and CK-to-outlet stock transfers
3. Recipe & Production (Kitchen Operations)
Enable recipe linking to menu items for:
Accurate consumption
Costing & food cost %
Variance reporting
4. Integrations & Data Sync (F&B Ecosystem)
Develop APIs for integrations with:
Swiggy/Zomato menu APIs
Kitchen Display Systems (KDS)
Experience with F&B POS systems, restaurant ERPs, or aggregator integrations is highly preferred.
Understanding of:
Food cost
Inventory workflows
Recipe costing
Menu engineering
Experience building systems with real-time synchronization.
