The Ayushman Mitra will act as the primary point of contact for patients and beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme. The role involves facilitating patient registration, verifying eligibility, assisting with cashless treatment approvals, and ensuring smooth coordination between beneficiaries, hospitals, and the insurance/TPA authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist beneficiaries/patients in registration and verification under the PM-JAY scheme using the BIS (Beneficiary Identification System).
Facilitate e-card generation and inform patients about entitlements, packages, and empaneled hospital benefits.
Support in pre-authorization requests and coordination with State Health Agency (SHA) / insurance company.
Guide patients and their families regarding cashless treatment process.
Maintain daily records of beneficiaries, admission, discharge, and claims.
Coordinate with hospital departments (billing, doctors, nursing staff) to ensure smooth treatment under the scheme.
Resolve patient grievances related to Ayushman Bharat benefits.
Ensure compliance with PM-JAY guidelines, maintain documentation, and submit timely reports.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Education: Minimum 12th pass (Graduation preferred).
Experience: Prior experience in hospital operations/health insurance/customer handling preferred.
Skills Required:
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, data entry).
Good communication skills in Hindi and English (local language knowledge preferred).
Patient handling and counseling ability.
Knowledge of healthcare processes and government health schemes (preferred).
