Job Description

Job Purpose:

Coordinating with the field and medical team for Mobile Medical Van Camps.

Supporting the hospital team in day-to-day activities (GD work, construction related work).

Overseeing medicine procurement and monitoring expiry to avoid wastage.

Assisting in implementation and follow-up of Sevalaya’s health projects.

Coordinating with the purchase team for daily requirements, including provision-related work.

Working in close coordination with Anand Sir, Head – Applied Learning, for activities related to the Tuition Centers and Community colleges in Gudalur.

Having a dedicated Center In-charge will help streamline processes and ensure efficiency in operations at the Nilgiris center.


Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.

  • Maintain records of attendance, inventory, and activities.

  • Coordinate with vendors, staff, and local authorities when required.

Program Implementation

  • Ensure effective execution of educational, healthcare, or skill development programs as per Sevalaya’s curriculum and guidelines.

  • Monitor outcomes and suggest improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.

Staff Supervision & Team Management

  • Supervise, guide, and support center staff, including teachers, trainers, and support staff.

  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and training sessions.

  • Manage staffing schedules and resolve any interpersonal or professional conflicts.

Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with Local communities, Parents, Beneficiaries, and Stakeholders.

  • Organize outreach activities, events, and campaigns to promote the center’s mission.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Submit timely reports on center performance, budgets, incidents, and feedback.

  • Ensure compliance with internal audit and monitoring processes.


Eligibility & Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Social Work, Education, Management, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in managing Community programs or Educational institutions.

  • Strong Leadership, Communication, and Problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Local language and Culture is preferred.

  • Willingness to work in rural/semi-urban areas.
