Job Overview:
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all products and materials meet the required standards of quality, performance, and safety. This includes inspecting, testing, and auditing processes and products to verify compliance with established standards. The QC Specialist works closely with other departments to identify potential areas for quality improvement. With Civil (Construction Background)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
Document inspection and test results accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality issues and resolve them effectively.
Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and guidelines.
Monitor and track quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, returns, complaints) and report findings to senior management.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action plans when quality issues arise.
Perform audits on suppliers and contractors to ensure materials meet required quality standards.
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and products to prevent damage or contamination.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or a Civil or equivalent work experience). Construction Filed experience
Proven experience in a QC or quality assurance role.
Strong knowledge of quality control techniques, standards, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001).
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and quality control software.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with audits, inspections, and report writing is a plus.
