Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager – Interior Department to oversee the overall execution and operational activities of interior projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, as per approved designs and required quality standards, while effectively coordinating with the design team, project managers, site teams, vendors, clients, and management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Operations & Execution
Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple interior projects.
Ensure smooth execution of projects from planning to final handover.
Monitor project timelines, milestones, manpower, materials, and site progress.
Identify delays, operational issues, and execution challenges and take corrective action.
Ensure proper coordination between design, site, purchase, accounts, and project teams.
2. Team Management
Manage and guide Interior Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Designers, and other project staff.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Conduct regular project reviews and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Identify manpower requirements and coordinate with management/HR for resource planning.
3. Site & Quality Monitoring
Regularly review site progress and execution quality.
Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
Coordinate with site teams to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
Conduct periodic site inspections and ensure proper workmanship and finishing standards.
4. Client & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with clients regarding project progress, requirements, approvals, and concerns.
Maintain professional relationships with contractors, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
Resolve operational issues and ensure timely communication with concerned parties.
Support the team in managing client expectations and project commitments.
5. Material & Purchase Coordination
Coordinate with the Purchase Department to ensure timely availability of materials at project sites.
Monitor material requirements, delivery schedules, and site consumption.
Ensure materials are procured as per approved specifications and project requirements.
Minimize material wastage and unnecessary project expenses.
6. Cost & Budget Control
Monitor project costs and ensure execution remains within approved budgets.
Track variations, additional requirements, and potential cost overruns.
Coordinate with Accounts/Purchase for project-related financial requirements.
Ensure proper documentation of project expenses and approvals.
7. Planning & Reporting
Prepare and review project execution plans and schedules.
Conduct regular project review meetings with concerned team members.
Monitor project-wise targets, pending activities, and upcoming requirements.
Submit regular project status reports to management.
Escalate critical delays, client concerns, quality issues, and financial risks to management.
8. Process Improvement
Develop and implement effective operational processes for the Interior Department.
Improve coordination between departments and reduce execution delays.
Identify recurring operational issues and implement practical solutions.
Maintain proper documentation and project records.

6–8 years of relevant experience in interior project execution/operations.
Experience in handling multiple residential/commercial interior projects.
Proven experience in managing project teams and site operations.
Strong ability to coordinate between Design, Site, Purchase, Accounts, Vendors, Clients, and Management.
Should be proactive, accountable, organized, and capable of independently handling operational responsibilities.
